The Case Files

A preview of case files #001 – #110

Case Files are the prompts that drive each round. Every one is written about The Focus, the player in the hot seat, and answered anonymously by everyone else.

Some get a laugh. Some get a pause. Some get a very unconvincing “I would never say that.” This page shows a selection from the full set currently in the game.

How the color system works

Known Associates uses a three-color system to give you a read on what you’re getting into before the round starts.

Gold Case Files

Gold Case Files live in the space between funny and revealing. They’re built around perception, reputation, posturing, and how someone gets read by the room — which is sometimes more uncomfortable than a direct hit.

Use Gold when you want to get personal without going nuclear.

Red case files

Red Case Files are the sharpest prompts in the game. These are more likely to expose something real, land harder than expected, or create an awkward silence nobody planned for. Best used when the group is comfortable enough to take a hit and keep going.

Use Red when the group is ready for it.

Green Case Files

Green Case Files are more playful than brutal, in theory. They still expose habits, contradictions, and the things people think they’re hiding. They just tend to do it with less immediate fallout than Red.

Use Green when you want to ease in. Good luck.
