Known Associates Update: Avatars, Scoring, Better Flow
Known Associates just got a strong new round of updates, and the browser game is starting to feel a lot more like itself.
My latest build of the social deduction party game adds 17 player avatars, giving each lobby more personality from the moment people join. Different player name colors are now in place too. That change makes the room easier to read and helps the game feel more distinct during play.

Scoring System & Scoreboard
A new scoring system is now live.
The Focus earns +2 points for every correct guess.
Other players can earn points through group voting in three categories: The Funniest, The Most Accurate, and The Meanest.
Each vote received is worth +2 points. That gives every response more weight and makes the reveal feel much more rewarding.

Round Flow Improvements
I’ve also improved the pace of the game. Timers are now in place. An AFK kick has been added. Prompt submission now updates in real time, so the room can see who is still typing. That keeps momentum up and gives the group one more reason to call out the slowest player.
Broader UI improvements have also been added across the game. A new scoreboard now helps each round feel more connected to the full session.

Debrief and Thank You
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has played so far. Known Associates has now reached 250 unique players, which is genuinely very cool to see. For a game still being actively refined, that kind of early support means a lot.
As I chug along making the browser version more fun, I really do appreciate the love (unless it’s 250 bots, in which case I do not want your love).
Every update helps sharpen the social tension, smooth out rough edges, and push the game closer to what it should be.
